Requirements

SharePoint Server 2010 CU 2011-12, and server connectivity.

Bing Maps service for location-specific data.

Limitations

Only Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) fonts are supported on the iPad.

Not all report types are viewable on iPad. For example, Visio Services reports do not render on iPad due to client-side requirements.

Maximum of 2,000 device registration for push notifications.

Supported Features

Business Intelligence Center – view sites.

PerformancePoint – view and interact with dashboards, including scorecards, KPI Details reports, and analytic charts and grids.

Web Page Reports – view reports.

SQL Server Reporting Services provides a full range of ready-to-use tools and services to help you create, deploy, and manage reports for your organization, as well as programming features that enable you to extend and customize your reporting functionality. Supported Authentication

Default authentication for report server works with Internet Explorer and Apple Safari browsers, as well as with the Firefox browser.

Requirements

SQL Server 2012 Service Pack (SP1) or later.

Limitations

Apple Safari does not support viewing reports in Report Manager.

Apple Safari supports export only to TIFF and PDF.

Uploading reports definition language (RDL) files to a SharePoint document library, to the Windows Azure report server, and to the report server database is not supported on the iPad.

Supported Features

Access the reports from email, Report Manager, SharePoint document Library, SharePoint Web part, and report server on-premises and in Windows Azure SQL Reporting. On the Microsoft Surface device, you can access the SQL Reporting report server by using the RS Dashboard application. The application is available for download from the Windows Store.

Navigate and interact with the report using collapse and expand items, sort, parameters, hyperlinks, and the Find command. You can collapse and expand rows and columns associated with groups by taping the plus (+) and minus (-) signs respectively.

Export to TIFF, PDF, XML, CSV, MHTML, Excel, Word.

Upload reports to a SharePoint document library, and to the report server database.

Requirements

Office 365 plan that supports business intelligence capabilities.

Limitations

Mobile phones are currently not supported for viewing BI content.

Workbooks cannot exceed 10 MB in file size to be viewed in a browser window.

External data connectivity is currently not supported for workbooks.

PerformancePoint Services is not available in Office 365.
