Deadline of End of Support Date Changes: Windows 7 & 8.1 extend support
Symptom
Microsoft has announced that Extended Support for Microsoft Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 on Skylake processor systems will be treated the same as all older processors under extended support.
The following Intel processors are included:
- Intel 6th generation Intel Core processors (Skylake)
- Intel Xeon processor E3 v5
- Various Pentium and Celeron-branded processors
Windows 7 Extended Support will now be available until January 14, 2020 and Windows 8.1 Extended Support will now be available until January 10, 2023 for all Intel Skylake processor systems listed on this support page.

Note:
- If you choose or continue to use Windows 7/8.1 OS after July 2020 and 2023, there is no impact to your hardware warranty on the listed platform.
- Windows 7/8.1 drivers will remain available for download until January 2020 and 2023 as required.
