BITS Provider Classes

The Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS) provider supplies classes and data that enable a system administrator or controller application to remotely manage BITS transfer jobs on clients and to publish files for the BITS Compact Server to host.

The BITS provider is installed as a part of the BITS Compact Server package. For more information, see BITS Compact Server.

BITS Provider Classes

The BITS provider has objects that describe client file information, the BITS transfer jobs, and BITS Compact server settings.

Class Description
BitsClientFile Represents client file information, which is an embedded object property in the BitsClientJob class.
BitsClientJob Provides methods to manage BITS transfer jobs.
BitsCompactServerUrlGroup Provides methods to manage URLs and URL groups for the BITS Compact Server.
