Lync 2013 Lync Basic 2013. Sign in to Lync for the first time. Your Lync sign-in information is usually configured automatically when Lync is installed. But you might have to manually start Lync the first time. Here’s how: Log on to your organization’s network. Click Start > All Programs > Microsoft Lync > Lync 2013.
